Centennial Kids Announcements
In our last club meeting, we discussed the battleground of pride. The kids helped to teach the lesson, as we studied King Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel chapter 4. We challenged the kids this week to put off pride and to put on humility, as we are instructed in Philippians 4:3. Encourage them to make an effort to consider others better than themselves, and to be able to give an example to their group next week of how the Lord enabled them to do so. The parent page (available via Email and Churchspot) will offer you further suggestions as well.
One of our recent lessons was also about remembering the faithfulness of God, and how that can strengthen us when we are battling doubt and unbelief. Consider working with your kids to help each other remember the things that God has done for you. Did He provide for you during sickness? Did you receive a clear answer to your prayer? Has someone that you have prayed for come to know Him as their Savior? How can you make it a habit to remember these things together with your family? We would love for the kids to share some of their (and your) ideas with us next week. Kid’s choir (for kids ages 4 years through 6th grade) will resume on Wednesday nights at 6pm beginning February 24th. They will be preparing to sing on Palm Sunday this spring. Our verse test for star 5 & star 6 is next Wednesday, February 10th. The following verses will be tested, though the kids can also take tests for previous stars as well. NIV or NKJV are available in written form, and the kids are also welcome to say their verses to one of our volunteers. Please note at the bottom of the page our procedures for cancellation due to weather. Have a great weekend, and thanks again for the privilege of working with you and your kids! Remember you can always check our church website www.centennialbiblechurch.org or www.churchspot.net for more information about memory verses as well as downloads of the parent resource pages.
