Way of the Wise Curriculum

This curriculum is designed for children in grades 1-6.

Each club meeting will begin with the children meeting in small discipleship groups with their group leader, followed by a time of musical worship in which the children will sing songs relevant to the lesson for the night.

Archers, Lancers, and Knights will be studying The Way of the Wise curriculum from Desiring God Children. This curriculum will focus on the application selected verses from the book of Proverbs. Lessons will be tied in with the Gospel message with a goal of teaching biblical wisdom and obedience as well as building a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Home study materials will be provided so the children can study and grow spiritually throughout the week. These materials include:

A weekly Application/Activity page that will be available at the church, or can be Emailed to the parents if it not picked up at the church.
A calendar of events and activities
A Proverbs reading chart - to help them read through the book of Proverbs throughout the year
A Proverbs memorization chart - They will be expected to memorize 15 verses during the year
A Proverbs application chart – The will be expected to apply 3 proverbs 8 times each during the year
They will also be expected to read “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” over the course of the year. Copies will be available to borrow from the church, but the supply is limited (we have about 15 copies).

Rewards will be given for:

Completion of the book of Proverbs
Completion of the Proverbs Application Chart for each of the 3 Proverbs
Completion of Proverbs memorization (all 15 verses)
Completion of “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe”
