WEDDING INQUIRIES
From the congregation of Centennial Bible Church we want to say “thank you” for considering giving us the opportunity to minister together to accomplish what God desires for your marriage. We consider weddings a very positive event and believe it is a blessing to be a part of them.
As a church, we are much more than a building in which a ceremony is held. We are a congregation committed to doing what honors the Lord Jesus Christ and what will be most helpful to others who are seeking to honor Him as well. We believe that each wedding is more than a ceremony; it is a joyous worship experience that involves a definite request for God’s blessing. Believing that marriage is ordained by God, we want to help you honor Him in this special time in your life. The policies and guidelines below are an effort to assist everyone to be able to work together in a helpful and productive manner. We desire to assist each couple in starting their union in a positive, productive, and biblical way, helping them to enjoy a lasting marriage that honors the institution God created and ordained.
How does one get wedding approval for Centennial Bible Church?
- A member of the pastoral staff of CBC, one of its Elders, Deacons, and/or the Wedding Coordinator will be involved, at least in a supervisory role, in all weddings held at our facilities.
- The prospective bride or groom must submit an application to the church office at least 4 months prior to the desired date of their ceremony (six to nine months is preferable). Proposed dates must not conflict with already scheduled church events. A wedding date will only be held on the church calendar for one month from the date of request without a completed packet and deposit. After the one-month period of time and without the proper documentation, the date will be released for other uses.
- The couples should complete the packet as thoroughly as possible and return the Information Sheet, Questionnaires, Application, Agreement and deposit check made payable to Centennial Bible Church to the church office. We understand that the questionnaires are quite involved and deal with personal information. This information will be kept confidential; however we believe this information is vital to an adequate insight of the couple’s understanding of biblical marriage. We also feel the information provided will help us to begin beneficial counseling sessions if necessary. The couple may choose to be married and counseled by their own pastor, but we require any pastors outside CBC and their alignment with CBC’s biblical beliefs to first be approved by our Elder board. Pre-marital counseling is a requirement.
- The request for a ceremony here at CBC will then be submitted to the Elder board. All weddings conducted at CBC must have final approval of the Elder board. (This can take up to 2-4 weeks). Following Elder approval, the ceremony will be placed on the church calendar and the deposit is no longer refundable.

A deposit is required with the Application. Once the date is approved and placed on the church calendar the facility will be secured for that time and the deposit is non-refundable. The deposit will be applied toward the facility fee. The remaining balance of the facility fee should be paid to the church office no later than one month prior to the wedding date.
